Wretched Woman

Wretched Woman is an ongoing, often collaborative project that takes form as a body of short films and videos that utilize duration, soundscape, and ritual to explore femme sexuality/sensuality, archetype, duality, and gendered space through a series of non-verbal tableaux. Films in the program have been exhibited as installation in galleries and museums, and screened in theatres, microcinemas, and film festivals. Notable exhibitions and screenings include Chicago Filmmakers (Chicago, IL), The Spectacle Theatre (Brooklyn, NY), Northwest Film Forum (Seattle, WA), CURRENTS New Media Festival, CURRENTS 826 (Santa Fe, NM), Echo Park Film Center (Los Angeles, CA), Museum of Contemporary Art (Chicago, IL).

Films in the Wretched Woman series include:

here/there (2019, made in collaboration with Glam, Sid Branca, and Dakota Loesch), Maiden (2018), Massillon (2017), Hail Mary (2017), Severance (2016), NECESSITY/LUXURY (2016), day/night (2015, made in collaboration with Abby Young), and GLORY/INFERNO (2015).

Collaborators in the WW series include Greg Stephen Reigh, Abby Young, Glam, Sid Branca, Dakota Loesch, and Eve Rydberg.
